Coach Leather Bag Trends 2026 Spotting Authentic Pieces

An Essential Guide to Coach Bags

Established in 1941, Coach originally produced men’s small leather goods, but women’s handbags arrived later and eventually became the core of the brand. Today the range of coach handbags spans firm shoulder bags, relaxed hobos, satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and archive reissues. In turn, this overview explains what each main bag is, when it appeared and how it is built. When a launch date is documented, it is noted; several popular lines, however, have no reliable launch year on record.

As opposed to coming from an official price list, the prices here are observed market prices from 2026, and size, material and promotions can all change them. Similar names can refer to quite different designs, a point worth remembering before buying your first coach bag. Some shoppers search online for a Coach bag by typing “couch bag”, which can pull listings for furniture into the results, as the first word also stands for a sofa.

Tabby

Featuring detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware, the Tabby is a firm-bodied shoulder bag that doubles as a crossbody. Stuart Vevers brought it out in 2019, and its shape was taken from Coach’s 1970s archive. The campaign that launched it, named “Dream It Real”, was reportedly shot by Juergen Teller. The core product name is Tabby Shoulder Bag, and sizes 20, 26 and 36 have been listed.

The softly padded Pillow Tabby followed in 2021, listed under names such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting. The Tabby 26 had an observed price of $475 in the US and £475 in the UK; quilted and special-edition versions cost more. Shoppers who want one bag for daytime and evening use should find it a good fit, since it switches easily between shoulder and crossbody wear.

The Brooklyn

Made in natural-grain leather, the Brooklyn is a relaxed coach shoulder bag that is far closer to a hobo than to the structured Tabby. It appeared on the Fall 2024 runway and launched in August 2024. Reports so far point to two main sizes: the Brooklyn 28 and the bigger Brooklyn 39. The 39 is described as large enough for a 15-inch laptop, so it makes a practical work bag.

A newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was coach signature bag reported for Spring 2026, and it is a different bag from the shoulder styles. For UK shoppers the Brooklyn 28 was observed at £350 through John Lewis. When The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said searches for Coach had climbed 160%, the Brooklyn was among the bags it named, though that figure reflects searches rather than resale prices.

The Rogue Line

The Rogue is Coach’s structured satchel, made with top handles and a shoulder strap. Introduced on the Fall 2016 runway, the bag was eventually discontinued; a 2021 relaunch returned it to the range. Including versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins, the line occupies the upper end of Coach’s leather range. Observed at $8,000, a Rogue 25 in alligator marked the highest Coach bag price observed in 2026.

As reported, a Made-to-Order Rogue from Coach has taken about 12 weeks to make, or about 16 weeks with exotic materials. Via Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own resale and repair program, restored Rogue bags have also appeared. The Rogue shows, for many collectors, how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship is able to go.

The Empire Carryall Family

The Empire Carryall is an elongated, east-west top-handle bag sold as the Empire Carryall Bag 34. After being shown on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway, it was released in February 2025. According to reports in the fashion press, it sold out on the day it was released. The structured Carryall 34 differs from softer versions named Soft Empire, such as a Soft Empire 40.

The Empire Carryall 34 was observed selling for £475 on Coach’s own site in the UK. Its long top-handle shape makes it a smarter alternative to a coach tote bag for everyday carrying. As 34 and 40 are different bags, anyone comparing listings should check the number after the name.

Kisslock: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel

Coach links the Kisslock motif to the Bonnie Cashin era; the name refers to a frame clasp based on vintage coin purses. The word is shared by a number of different bags, which should not be muddled. Described in reports as the opening look of the Fall 2026 show, the Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather was observed at $350. Earlier Kisslock Frame versions also show up in listings, so the family may predate that show.

These days, the Kisslock Dreamer 21 appears largely as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved; it is an older style with quilted nappa leather and rivets. For Spring 2026, Coach Originals revived a 1973 design as the Kisslock Barrel Bag. Adding yet another use of the name, a Kisslock Backpack was also unveiled for Fall 2026.

The Swinger, the Swing Zip and The Coach Originals

Pieces in The Coach Originals are new rather than vintage: the line is built on newly made reissues of archive designs. A short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag with a turnlock, the Swinger has an original design that Coach dates to 1987. Also available With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard, the Swinger Bag 20 is today’s version. The Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag modeled on a 1998 design, so the two names are not interchangeable.

The Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005 were among the other Originals reported in early 2025. Reports suggest that the Coach Originals name was already being used by 2020. The line works for buyers who want an archive look without the wear of a genuinely vintage piece.

Soho Explained: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker

Because it covers three different products, Soho is one of the most confusing names in the Coach catalog. The original Soho Flap was introduced in 2006. Rather than being that 2006 bag, the Soho Bag 25 is a more compact, newer reissue, made in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard. Soho styles sit within The Coach Originals, and a Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also been listed.

The Soho Sneaker, by contrast, is footwear that Coach has highlighted in 2025 and 2026, so it sits with shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. Adding “Bag 25” or “Flap” to a search helps separate the bags from the shoe. Consult Coach’s own website before buying, as no reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured.

Willow, Cassie and Juliet

Treat any launch date you see online with caution: these three lines are recognizable, but none has a documented launch year. Made in pebble leather, the Willow family has featured the Willow Tote 24, a Willow Bucket and a Willow Shoulder bag. The Willow Tote 24 is a straightforward example of a coach tote bag, while Coach’s own website has also listed a Custom Willow Tote. Offering a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps, the Cassie Crossbody Bag 19 is one version of Cassie, a design that spans crossbody and top-handle styles.

Under newer style codes, Cassie styles remain listed on Coach’s own website. Juliet is a soft, slouchy shoulder bag in glovetanned leather, offered in versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30. Before trusting an older review, confirm whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current, since availability changes by season.

Every Line at a Glance: Observed Prices

The table below sets out the main lines alongside their shape, key date and an observed 2026 price where one was reliably captured. Rather than figures from an official Coach price list, these are observed market prices, and they change with size, material, color and promotions. Sales tax is left out of US prices, whereas VAT is part of UK prices. In sale periods, full-price styles can be marked down; at the same time, a coach outlet runs its own promotions on outlet styles.

Operated as Coach’s own official channel, Coach Outlet operates through outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website. In 2014, Coach’s head of investor relations was quoted as saying about 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel. Tapestry has since talked about bringing some full-price collection product into outlets, and that number is dated. To find current-season lines, Coach’s own website or a full-price coach store remains the place to go.
